Dr. Paula E. Bruce is the Founder, CEO, and Executive Clinical Director of this growing practice which includes excellent multilingual, multiethnic clinicians who work with a diverse group of clients.  She is an experienced and well-respected clinical, forensic and media psychologist who has been licensed in California (PSY16248) since 1999.  Dr. Bruce is additionally licensed in New York (026403) and Virginia (081008411).

Dr. Bruce graduated with an honors Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc. Hons.) in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, England. Prior to that, she had also studied at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Bruce earned both her Master of Arts degree (M.A.) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the well-respected California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, California’s largest and oldest graduate program for psychologists. In addition to the above, Dr. Bruce sought additional postgraduate training and has received a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Wright Institute, Los Angeles and a Certificate in Child Abuse and Trauma from the Family Stress Center, Child and Family Guidance Center, both highly respected postgraduate training facilities.

For several years, Dr. Bruce provided psychoanalytically-informed clinical supervision to Master’s and Doctoral level psychology interns and licensed psychologists for various community organizations including The Maple Counseling Center, Valley Community Center and A Home Within. She has also previously served as a Senior Clinical Supervisor and Post-doctoral Training Coordinator at the Family Stress Center, Child and Family Guidance Center. Dr. Bruce was previously an adjunct faculty at Antioch University Los Angeles, and has taught classes in psychological testing and personality theory in the Master's degree program. Dr. Bruce has also lectured on various topics at many organizations throughout Los Angeles.

Dr. Bruce’s additional experiences have contributed to her expertise in a number of different areas. Dr. Bruce’s rich psychotherapy practice includes individual, couple and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of concerns. Dr. Bruce is also very experienced in working with clients who are public figures, highly celebrated and/or those who require a high level of privacy.

Dr. Bruce has also developed expertise in psychological testing and provides thorough evaluations and well-written reports for both forensic and educational purposes. Dr. Bruce has conducted forensic evaluations in numerous high profile civil litigation matters and has served as an expert witness in cases specific to psychological trauma, sexual abuse/assault (including ride-share assault cases and clergy abuse cases), sexual harassment (including #me too cases) and childhood abuse matters. Dr. Bruce has also conducted forensic evaluations and provided expert testimony in complex Family Law matters. Dr. Bruce is experienced in providing and supervising family reunification therapy in refuse/resist cases, parental alienation cases and other complex Family Law matters.

Dr. Bruce provides media consultation and is a frequent expert appearing on several national television shows discussing a range of important psychological issues.
