Nicole Navarre Girault, M.A., J.D., AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 116384) providing individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy under the supervision of Paula E. Bruce, Ph.D. (PSY16248). Nicole received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. Through her work at Airport Marina Counseling Service, she has been extensively trained in psychodynamic intervention. Nicole treats a wide variety of issues, including, but not limited to, relational issues, depression, anxiety, workplace issues, substance abuse, process addiction, women’s issues, family system issues, trauma, attachment issues, expatriate issues, life transitions, self-esteem and intimacy issues. Having worked at big law firms, Nicole is also positioned to help those suffering from workplace burnout, the search for passion and meaning, and work-life balance. Nicole actively explores and helps the client gain insight into childhood traumas and patterns, which cause difficulties in the present. Nicole’s approach focuses on the relationship between the therapist and the client as a team embarking on the journey together toward healing. She is a bilingual therapist who can provide therapy in both English and French. She enjoys working with diverse clients dealing with assimilation, identity, and other expatriate issues.
