Dr. Hudad Tolloui is a Registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94024871) who provides individual and couples psychotherapy under the supervision of Janice Nishiyama, Psy.D. (PSY16545). Dr. Tolloui received his Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles and his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in General Psychology from Payaam Noor University in Iran. Dr. Tolloui has experience working with a wide range of clients in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, sexual orientation and gender identity issues, trauma, intimacy, substance abuse, and relational issues. He has a particular interest in working with clients struggling with issues including meaning of life and existential issues, cultural diversity, developing loving and meaningful relationships, bereavement, sexuality, and life transitions. Dr. Tolloui’s approach is aimed at providing his clients with a trusting and safe space where they can gradually experience a range of their deeper thoughts and emotions to discover underlying intellectual and emotional reasons for the ways they think, feel and behave; insights that would help them in initially developing more effective ways of coping, understanding and enjoying their life more, and ultimately building the capacity to love and be loved. He is fluent in both English and Farsi.
